ITC Federal Technical Team Receives ICE OFCO Award for Excellence for Cloud Cost Avoidance
ITC Federal congratulates members of its technology team on winning the Financial Management Excellence Award as part of the US Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) 3rd Annual Awards for Excellence
FAIRFAX, VA, September 15, 2023—ITC Federal announced today that members of its technology team were recently awarded the Financial Management Excellence Award for their work on the Cloud Cost Avoidance Project by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). Annually, ICE OCFO honors the accomplishments of high-performing teams and professionals supporting ICE and their CFO business lines through the Awards for Excellence program.
ITC’s technology team worked with the ICE Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to assess ICE’s current cloud infrastructure using ITC’s FinOps framework. The team used cloud financial management techniques and activities to understand cloud usage and cost and provide recommendations on cost and cloud usage optimization.
“As a result of our evolving effort, the team saved ICE $2.69M in FY22, leading to this award,” says Matt Perlick, ITC Senior Program Manager. “We want to congratulate our ITC team and our partners for their endless effort in supporting the ICE mission.”
The team is also using ITC’s Cloud Modernization Framework (ICMF) to support ICE and other federal agencies across today’s three major cloud service providers, delivering solutions through Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. ICMF employs cloud-native methods that allow our teams to design, implement, and deploy customized cloud solutions that help our customers remain flexible and scale as needed to support their mission.
