ITC Federal Re-appraised at CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 3
ITC Federal is re-appraised at CMMI Development Maturity Level 3 to deliver efficient, low-risk software solutions to our federal customers.
FAIRFAX, Va., August 28, 2023 — ITC Federal (ITC), a mid-sized federal systems integrator and solutions provider, announced today that its Software Services were successfully re-appraised at Maturity Level 3 of ISACA’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) for Development (CMMI-DEV). CommandTec, LLC performed the appraisal using the CMMI Development v2.0 model.
An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organization’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for Maturity Level 3, is established and improved over time.
“ITC’s Agile and software development methods, processes, and tools were reviewed as part of the re-appraisal. Our program successfully passed the CMMI appraisal using repeatable and documented processes. In addition, the reach back to our corporate team for additional guidance or new software methodologies was important for understanding product implementation,” said Marcus Lindsay, ITC’s CMMI Team Lead. “When Agile was introduced as a new control, our program successfully applied its principles, resulting in the smooth validation of this control by the appraisal team.”
ITC’s software team demonstrated through existing programs the ability to deliver high-end software services and quality deliverables to meet federal customers’ software requirements. Additionally, we demonstrated our ability to upgrade and enhance software products, reduce costs, and support efficient and effective processes while also providing training opportunities to support ITC development teams.
